Spring is here, but unfortunately so is COVID-19. We are keeping busy at the farm despite social distancing everywhere else (it’s safe to hug your horse and chickens, so that’s good!)
We haven’t hatched anything yet this year (I know… so late!), but a lot of other projects around the farm including a new poultry barn in the works have been taking the focus.
We are no longer breeding or offering Silver Fox rabbits, but we will hopefully have some Dominique and Buff Silkie chick available later in the year. Narragansett turkeys may make a comeback at some point here on the farm as well, so stay tuned for a possible reappearance for next season.
We checked our beehives and both have made it healthy and strong through the winter, so we are very happy about that!
